I am quite impressed with this start up and can’t find words better than their own to describe why they exist so here they are from a well funded 2 year old start up that addresses what I thought was impossible to fix:
No one is immune to America’s broken healthcare infrastructure, including the 69 million Americans on Medicare. Even those with robust insurance and medical know-how aren’t spared from inaccurate directories, prior authorization purgatory and reams of paperwork. The system is broken. And when you’re sick, navigating this maze is the last thing you should worry about. This is where healthcare advocates can truly make life-changing impacts. While they are not medical care providers, advocates act as translators, process experts and relentless supporters. From firsthand experience, we’ve heard the benefits of advocates on those who need medical care and assistance. But not everyone who needs an advocate is so fortunate to have one.
I have met a recipient of Solace’s Advocacy program and he’s quite surprised and happy with the advocate and how well she handles his issues. He has been recommending her to friends.
I urge people to check them out – finally a start up many can use right away. Thanks to “The co-founders of Solace (Solace Health) – Jeremy Gurewitz and Sara Sargent for finding a huge problem and designing a way to handle it. “ Jeremy Gurewitz serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Sara Sargent serves as the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
